Delegation tour to the Energy Island Bornholm

It was a great exchange between the German and Danish business partners, stakeholders from the offshore wind energy industry and local politicians from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Bornholm.

We started our trip on the ferry from Neu-Mukran to Bornholm on the 12th of September 2024.
The main focus of joint activity will be on possibilities of cooperation and the use of synergies.

Our central questions on this tour were:

➜  What opportunities do we see for cross-border cooperation between Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Bornholm?
➜ How transition to renewable energy will and can impact business development in our regions?
➜  How can local communities in both regions benefit from the development of offshore wind energy islands?
➜  How can small business and local industry benefit from large energy projects, and what are the obstacles?
➜  Where can Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Bornholm been seen together in 10 years?

The results were impressive!

TASK Engineering is a member of the WindEnergy Network e.V. and was one of the main organizer of this tour, together with the Windenergy Network. As a Danish and a German registered company located in Neu Mukran in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern – Stefan Lindberg – as well as in Rønne on Bornholm, – Adrian Becke – we know both sides and all the important stakeholders for businesses in these areas very well.

Thanks to everybody for being part of this, and for the great event, and for so many good dialogues. We are looking forward to the next tour.

Working with the wind. On our way to the Energy Island Bornholm.

A second focus of our delegation tour to Bornholm, on the 12th of September, was the sailing of our sponsored boat from “Next Generation Boating”.
The wind is the bridge. Not only for the cooperation between Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Bornholm, likewise to a sustainable future for the next generation.

We all want to attract more attention to renewable energy productions, specially in the Baltic Sea, where TASK Engineering has his focus on.
Everyone involved wants to achieve the greatest success.

Thanks a lot to the WindEnergy Network, Next Generation Boating with Lennart Burke and Melwin Fink.
The Co-sailors: Michael Pett, Alexander Mahlke, Daniel Melcher, Peter Menzel, Thomas Britt, Leon Kräusche and all the other participants.
